embedded Joost
This is something new. Joost embedded in setup boxes and so. That is TV over the internet. But perhaps the experience of TV on the PC is still not acceptable. Is Joost realizing that also or just covering the holes? Because I think that setup boxes are NOT the way to go. I believe more in the Apple system with Apple TV. A box to convert the internet options to a Television experience. A setupbox limits the experience, although the Joost interface is very easy and userfriendly.

So I checked Joost out again yesterday. It is a nice platform and a damn good user interface. Seeing the list of contracts and news they are gathering (even the Belgian news had a topic) it is really getting momentum. But I don’t get the time to investigate and that is a shame. It is me but do people, except for students and bloggers, really fire up the computer at home at their desk to watch tv. I think most of us, are still happy with the normal TV set and even complain that they don’t have the time to watch new stuff.Let alone a whole new thing.
On the other hand, maybe because of the new experience and eg the on-demand principle, Joost might well be the answer. For me it is working. I rather watch a show that I like (like Fifth Gear) on Joost, then some boring sh$t on TV. But I have a laptop and wireless internet so I watch it on the couch next to my wife, who is looking at TV. Not quite ideal. Lets jusst wait until Apple TV comes to Europe and the TV-Computer link is re-born.
